Colt’s Neck Township is located in Monmouth County in Central New Jersey and is home to over 10,000 residents. Originally founded as Atlantic Township in 1847, the name was changed to Colts Neck in 1962. Colt’s Neck is part of the New York metropolitan area, which is why people choose to buy a home in Colt’s Neck, as it has open space, yet within commuting distance of New York City. It is also one of the wealthiest communities in in New Jersey. Vincent Jewelers is another fine jeweler located in Colt’s Neck. Both get rave reviews online. There are a number of great places to eat in Colt’s Neck. Huddy's Inn is in a new location and serves classic American fare along with a full bar service. Orlando Italian Restaurant offers great Italian cuisine and pizza. Other outstanding restaurants include Green Meadows, Colts Neck Pizza, and Maryann's Pizza.

Parks & Recreation
Colt’s Neck Department of Recreation and Parks oversees 6 parks and a number of programs. Parks include Five Point Park, Freer Nature Preserve, Laird Road Recreation Area, Memorial Park, Obre Road Preserve, and Schlesinger Preserve.
Education
The Colts Neck School District oversees the education of children pre-k to 8th grade. These schools are Conover Road Primary School, Conover Road Elementary School, and Cedar Drive Middle School. High school grades attend Colts Neck High School, which also serves students from Howell Township and Marlboro Township. The Freehold Regional High School District also serves students from Colt’s Township.
